Stoneware, Inc. is excited to announce the release of webNetwork version 6.0. The new features and enhancements included in 6.0 allow organizations to create a private cloud platform and the virtual web desktop to access it.

    Network "Aware"

    • webNetwork version 6.0 is now aware of the underlying network infrastructure
    • Control the quality of network service as users access services from the private cloud
    • Assign the Quality of Service based on application, user, group, or organization
    • Supports standard quality of service settings by vendors such as Enterasys, Cisco, Juniper, etc.

    File Services

    • Improved file system interface for simplifying access to home and shared directories located on the network
    • New AJAX interface for improved end user performance and the handling of large directories
    • File Preferences allows administrators to control double-click action (open, save, edit, etc.)

    Mobile

    • New mobile "click and slide" interface runs on any smartphone device supporting HTML and Javascript
    • New mobile file system interface allows users to access their home and shared directories from most smartphone devices

    SaaS

    • Integration of Microsoft's Windows Live ID to seamlessly integrate the growing number of hosted Microsoft services
