Intel's vision includes "client-aware" solutions that allow clouds to adapt seamlessly to the end user's device and use mode-taking advantage of client capabilities to optimize application delivery and the end user experience across a broad range of devices in a secure fashion.

To achieve this, Intel is investing in application programming interfaces (APIs) that allow developers to write applications that detect processor performance, battery life, and network bandwidth. Once enabled, applications can use this information on a dynamic basis to determine whether to run on the client or the server. The result? Secure access and optimal user experiences across a range of devices.
